Summer is well and truly here, so I thought I would share some of Ava’s favourite things which certainly help our little one keep cool and comfortable in this unusually hot London heatwave! I have linked everything below.

1. Tommee Tippee Advanced Anti-Colic Baby Bottles

In summer it is important for babies and toddlers to stay hydrated, particularly in this heat and Ava still loves a bottle of milk twice a day. We are currently using these new Tommee Tippee Anti Colic bottles with a built in heating sensing straw that actually turns pink when the contents is too hot. We have been fans of Tommee Tippee’s Closer to Nature Complete Feeding Set which we have in black from when Ava was a newborn, and out of all the bottles we use we prefer this brand the most. This new version is also great in reducing colic symptoms for less wind and spit up. Available from £19.19 for a set of three x 150ml bottles from Amazon.

2. Stokke Flexi Bath

I love how compact this bath is and that it can be folded down so compactly. The Stokke Flexi Bath bath is great for the heat and can be set up outside for a little splashing fun when not used as a bath inside. It is also the perfect size to take travelling and can be used from birth (with the newborn support) to four years. The non-slip base and plug is also very convenient. An added bonus is that it also doubles up as an ice bucket for your summer BBQs! Available from £37.00 for the transparent collection from Stokke.

3. Zoku Fish Ice Lolly Pop Moulds

Making your own ice pops is always more fun then shop bought artificially coloured and sugar filled versions. And also a great way to cool little ones down in this heat and help with sore red gums from teething. It is really popular to also make breastmilk popsicles if you are still breastfeeding. These ones Zoku Fish Ice Lolly Pop ones are really cute and come in different shapes. Available from £19.99 at John Lewis.

4. H&M Swimmers

H&M know how to design adorable swimmers like these nautical striped ones for girls, and they also do swim sets for more cover up and UPF 50 swim sets for protection in the sun. I also love their twinning mummy and daughter lines which are too die for! The price point is great and the designs are cute. Their kids sunglasses and straw hats are also fantastic. Their swimsuits start from £8.99 at H&M Online.

5. Inflatable Swan Baby Seat

We recently came back from a trip to Croatia and I bought this inflatable swan seat from Amazon for Ava to float in while in the pool and also in the sea. The seat is really secure with a padded backrest and is suitable from 6 to 36 months. The paint is also non toxic. The swan only weighs 299 grams when deflated so doesn’t take up much weight or room in our suitcase. The swan is available from Amazon £11.99.

6. Monogrammed Terry Towel Robe and Towel

Ava received this beautiful little gingham blue trim robe from My First Years with her name embroidered on it as a gift from her godmother. It doubles up as a towel after bath time and is also ideal when out at the pool or beach instead of a towel. And it was also worn by Prince George when he met President Obama! However if you are after a personalised hooded baby towel also, then Sewsian makes the cutest embroidered towels and the one we have is so super soft. The My First Years Robe is £26.00 and the hooded baby towel from Sewsian is £16.00.

7. Vita Coco Coconut Oil Tub

I found this little tub of organics extra virgin coconut oil at Holland & Barrett and have been using it for everything from moisturiser for Ava to lip balm for me. Also great as an after sun lotion as it absorbed easily and doesn’t leave you feeling sticky. This smaller travel size is also perfect for holidays away. Coconut oil has so many uses, is naturally anti bacterial, and can also be used for cooking and is recommended for immune support. The Vita Coco 250ml size retails for £6.99 at Holland & Barrett.

8. Stokke Flexi Bath Toy Cups

Ava enjoys playing with these Stokke Flexi Bath Toy Cups at bath time, they come in a set of four and two cups also have drain holes. I find they are also handy for helping me wash her hair while also making it fun at the same time. They cleverly help promote a baby’s motor skills with the pouring actions and are BPA free plus dishwasher safe. They stack within each other and are easy to store. I am surprised by how much she enjoys playing with them. Available at Stokke for £15.00 from 4+ months.

9. Little Butterfly London Top to Toe Wash

Little Butterfly London are by far my favourite organic-certified mother and baby skincare range. We use Top to Toe Bubbles in the Breeze baby body wash on Ava religiously. The bubbles aren’t over powering, the ingredients are all natural and organic (98.92 % of the total ingredients are from natural origin and 97.69 % of the total plant ingredients are from organic farming). The packaging is luxe and the lid is made out of wood. The 200ml Top to Toe Wash is available at Little Butterfly London for £19.50.

Have a great summer!
