The Mother Box: Pregnancy + Birth Kit

What happens when a talented midwife & doula with over 25 years combined experience get together? A-mazing things are created, like this pregnancy + birth box which has everything me and the growing bump need. The Mother Box is an all in one essentials go to kit for mums-to-be, put together by two women who have decades of experience in delivering babies and understand what mothers really need. There are different boxes available depending on which stage you are in your pregnancy. I particularly also love the heal + restore box for after the big event. The pregnancy + birth box which I have, is for expectant mothers over twelve weeks in their pregnancy and preparing for the birth.

My little box of goodies contains:

♥ 100% Organic Lavender, Sweet Orange and Clary Sage essential oils for diffusing, inhaling or for a relaxing massage

♥ 100% Cotton flannel

♥ A Drawstring bag to home the oils and flannel

♥ Nip & Lip Soothing Balm from Bloom and Blossom (bonus 2 in 1 balm)

♥ Reusable environmentally friendly straws, a must for labour I’m told

♥ Materna Tea 3 Herbal Tea from The New Moon Tea Co: Designed to strengthen and tone the uterus in preparation for birth with fillable tea sachets

♥ Pack of ‘Yesmum’ To-Be positive affirmation cards, with an aim to keep me calm and remind me that I am a strong, capable woman who can totally do this birth thing (I’ve started reading these on a daily basis and love the positive vibes)

♥ Large energy flapjack from the ‘Flapjackery’: To be eaten immediatly or put away until I’m in labour and need that energy hit

♥ A soothing lavender ‘And Breathe’ candle to help me relax and take some much needed rest time

♥ An information booklet on what to expect during pregnancy and labour

I’m really happy that I have this super practical kit at hand to help me in the final weeks before bub arrives and would definitely recommend it to any mum-to-be. The boxes are also the perfect pampering gift for a fellow bump-tastic friend or colleague, it certainly beats a traditional nappy cake. On another note, my husband is already eyeing off my flapjack snack, but I’ve told him to back off buddy, it’s all mine! However he is more than welcome to give me a massage with the essential oil while I enjoy a cup of materna tea though.
